The 8-day Ganesh Himal Trek takes you deep into the heart of rural Nepal, through picturesque Tamang villages, alpine forests, emerald hills, and terraced fields glowing with golden mustard, barley, and rice. Along the way, natural hot springs, glacial valleys, and blooming rhododendron forests enhance the beauty of this off-the-beaten-path journey.

Located between the Budhi Gandaki Valley and the Manaslu Range, Ganesh Himal offers awe-inspiring views — even visible from Kathmandu on clear days. The trek begins with a long scenic drive to Syabrubesi, followed by a hike through traditional settlements like Gatlang, leading up to the wild, serene Ganesh Himal Base Camp, where we spend two nights exploring.

This region is rich in biodiversity, home to red pandas, snow leopards, Himalayan thar, and more than 500 species of plants and birds. Culturally, it is deeply influenced by Tibetan Buddhism — local lamas discourage animal killing, preserving a rare harmony with nature. Optional Extension: This trek can be extended by continuing into the Langtang Valley, offering even more dramatic scenery and immersion in Tamang culture.
