Tibet is the most unusual and beautiful place. The majority of its land rests above 3650 meters and is surrounded by mountain ranges on three sides. The awe-inspiring Himalayas are the highest in the world, as is the never-ending Tibetan plateau. It is a place for the rugged adventurer as well as the spiritual.

There is one major route available to entering from Nepal, First, we drive across the Nepal-Tibet border at Kerung and then up onto the Tibetan Plateau and drive continue onto Lake Manasarovar and the sacred Mt Kailash where we take a three-day pilgrimage “kora” around the mount Kailash. The Second entering route to Nepal we begin the trek through the Nepal remote district of Humla –Simikot Narala pass and Hilsa (Nepal Tibet border) drive to Manasarovar Lake and sacred Mount Kailash Kora after Kora continue back to Kerung border and Kathmandu. Itinerary

  • 01Arrival: 15 -20 Minute drive. AIT representative will greet you at Tribhuvan International Airport and transport you to your Kathmandu hotel. After having formal introduction, you are being served with welcome drink at the hotel. They will give you helpful tips for your time in Kathmandu. O/N Hotel
  • 02Kathmandu Sight-seeing: 3-4 hours. After breakfast, you are being prepared for joining a guided tour of the amazing sightseeing of the Kathmandu Valley. You can visit Durbar Square, Swayambhunath ‘Monkey’ Temple, the famous Hindu temple – Pashupatinath and the largest Stupa in Nepal – Boudhanath onwards at afternoon we gather for a pre trek briefing and introduction to your trek leader & make arrangements for your ‘trek pack’. In the Evening AIT organizes welcome dinner at a local restaurant
  • 03Kathmandu -Kerung Border (160 Km) 06-07 hours drive 2,750m. Kathmandu -Kerung Border (148 Km) 06-07 hours drive
    Early in the morning exicting drive to Kerung Border (Nepal-Tibet Border) through the beautiful Nepalese countryside and after necessary border formalities at Nepal immigration, an hour daring uphill drive by Bus & jeep(normally) or 2 hour walk uphill (in case of landslide to Chinese immigration, check-in to hotel or Continue drive to Kerung. Stay overnight at Guest House.
  • 04KERUNG - SAGA After breakfast our journey start to Saga which is 06-08 hrs drive, 4050 m in elevation and over night in camp.
  • 05SAGA – PARAYANG After early morning breakfast drive to Parayang, Which is 06-07 hrs drive and over night in camp.
  • 06PARAYANG – MANASAROVAR. Early morning drive to Manasorovar which takes 4-5 hours drive, 4550m in elevation and over night in camp.
  • 07MANASAROVAR – DARCHEN. Explore Lake Manasorovar in the morning and drive to Darchen which is 1 hour drive and, 4,560 m in elevation and over night in camp / G house.
  • 08DARCHEN - TIRTHAPURI (4300M) 03-04 hrs drive to Tirthapuri where one can enjoy natural hot water spring and over night in camp
  • 09DRIVE - TSAPRANG (3680m). Drive 06-07 hours to Tsaprang.
  • 10TSAPRANG. Explore Toling & Tsaprang the 09th century Guge The Ruin Kingdom, over nigh in camp.
  • 11TSAPRANG - DARCHEN. DRIVE AROUND 5/6 Hours and O/n At Darchen O/N Camp/Guest House
  • 12DARCHEN – TARBOCHE After early morning breakfast trek starts (The Kora begins) and after 5 – 6 hours trek to Dirapuk, 4,890 m in elevation and overnight in camp.
  • 13TARBOCHE - ZUTULPUK. Parikrama contionues to Zutulpuk which will take approximately 08 hours, 4,790m in elevation and overnight in camp.
  • 14ZUTULPUK – DARCHEN. Trek end at Darchen and overnight in Guest house.
  • 15DARCHEN - PARYANG (4450m), Drive 5/6 Hours to Paryang & over night Camp.
  • 16PARYANG TO SAGA(4450m). Drive 5/6 Hours to Saga O/n In Camp
  • 17DRIVE SAGA TO NYALAM Drive Saga to Nylam for 4/5 Hours O/N in Guest house.
  • 18DRIVE TO KATHMANDU. Transfer to Hotel and program Over.
  • 19Departure: You could catch up on some last minute shopping, Internate to your friends and family before departure to Airport or onwards to your next destination
